Email Address
When signing up on the Wait List, you will be asked to enter your FSU email address. Be sure you type in the address correctly. If you are added to a class from the Wait List, an email notification will be sent to that address.
Wait List Availability
The Wait List will be available when the regular registration window opens and it will remain open for one week after the regular registration window closes. (Note: The Wait List for Fall term will not be available during EARLY Fall registration.) To find out the dates of registration for each term, go to: http://www.registrar.fsu.edu/.
Wait List Prefixes
The prefixes following the courses on your Wait List indicate the following:
Current Semester Only
The courses you request on the Wait List are ONLY for the semester indicated. If you want to request the same courses for a subsequent semester, you must submit a new request when the Wait List for that semester becomes available.
Course Enrollment Status
Click on the course number to view additional information about the course, including the seating capacity of the course and the current number of students enrolled. This information is pulled from University databases and is automatically updated each night. Therefore, keep in mind that other people may have signed up during any given day. For the most recent information on course enrollment, check the FSU Course Lookup Search Form.
Course Prerequisites
You will not be added to a course from the Wait List if you have not met the prerequisites for that course. A listing of all courses and their prerequisites can be found on the Course Descriptions page of the College's website or Course Descriptions of CI at the FSU Bulletins website.
Course Selection
The system will not check for time conflicts in your schedule. If you requeskt to be on the Wait List for a class you no longer want, you can log back in at any time while the list is available and remove your name from that Wait List.
Maximum Semester Hours
Getting Added is NOT AUTOMATIC
Putting your name on the Wait List does not register you in the course(s) and it does not guarantee you will be added to the course(s) you selected. If you are added to a class from the Wait List, an email notification will be sent to the address you provided. ONLY students who are added to a class will be notified. In any case, you should verify your enrollment before the close of the drop/add period to be sure your schedule is accurate. You are responsible for tuition and grade liability for all classes that appear on your schedule after drop/add ends. To verify enrollment, go to Secure Apps and click on My Class Schedule.
Logout
After you have finished selecting the classes you want, you MUST logout of the site by clicking on "Logout" at the top right corner of the page. This will prevent someone else from going into the site and making changes to your request.
Grade and Fee Liability
You are responsible for fee and grade liability for any class that is added to your schedule from the Wait List. If you change your mind, you are responsible for removing your name from the Wait List. Not knowing you were added to a class from the Wait List is not an acceptable reason to request a course drop later in the semester.
Step 1. Click on the button at the bottom of this page entitled “I understand these instructions.” You will be taken to a log in Web page.
Step 2. Once you have signed in, you will be taken to a Web page entitled Wait List Request Form. You need to complete three sections on this page in order to sign up for the Wait List:
Step 3. Now you will be taken to the Confirmation web page. This page will show you the course(s) you have selected.
Step 1. Sign in to the wait list. If you need further instructions on signing in, see Step 1 in the Course Addition section above.
Step 2. Once you have signed in, you should see a section on the right side of the screen entitled My Wait List. There should be a list of courses on your wait list. Locate the course(s) that you would like to delete from the wait list and click on Remove. DO NOT REFRESH. It will update automatically.
Logout
After you have finished selecting the classes you want, you MUST logout of the site by clicking on Logout at the top right corner of the page. This will prevent someone else from going into the site and making changes to your request.
